Physical fitness promotes self-confidence, enhances learning, and is society’s wise investment in the future. Emphasis on academic achievement produces knowledgeable individuals. However, an educated mind cannot repay society’s investment when that mind resides in a body poorly prepared for a long, productive, and healthy life.
